What is NLA Rent Manager?

NLA Rent Manager is an on-line landlord software solution that allows you to better manage every aspect of your rents including:

Does NLA Rent Manager work on Macs?

Yes. As it is an on-line solution it can be used by any device that allows access to the web, via a web browser.

What are the Minimum System Requirements?

  • Internet Explorer 8 or later, or
  • Latest version of Mozilla Firefox or
  • Latest version of Google Chrome or
  • Latest version of Safari or
  • Latest version of Opera
  • JavaScript enabled
  • Browser cookies allowed
  • Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 or higher

Security and Data Storage

Where is the data stored?

The data is stored on servers located in a state-of-the-art data centre facility in London, UK.

How is my data kept safe?

The data centre is protected from both physical and network attacks as well as from natural disasters such as fires, floods and earthquakes. Access to the site is controlled by a three-stage authentication process which comprises of a swipe card, PIN and biometric recognition. The data centre is also guarded 24x7x365 by on-site security guards.

The data is protected against a hard drive failure through hardware RAID mirroring across multiple drives.

What happens if I do not renew my NLA Membership?

If you decide to cancel your membership, you will receive 30 days grace period to either renew your NLA membership or buy an annual NLA Rent Manager subscription to use the software. If after 90 days you have not either renewed your NLA membership or purchased an annual subscription then your account and all data will be deleted.

It is not practical for us to hold data that is no longer being used on-line.

How often will the data be backed up?

There are three automatically executed and rotated backup slots - a daily backup, a weekly backup (2-7 day old backup) and another weekly backup (8-14 day old backup).

Is my data shared with anyone else?

No. In fact, our systems do not even let us see the password you use to access your data.  We respect our customers' data and that’s why we'll never sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their promotional use.

Will it be safe for me to access my data over the internet?

Yes. The communication between your computer and our servers is encrypted using strong 128-bit keys (256-bit keys in many cases depending on the web browser). What that means is that even if the information travelling between your computer and our servers were to be intercepted, it would be practically impossible for anyone to make any sense out of it.

Can I upgrade to a full property management solution?

Yes. However, this is a chargeable service available through PropertyPortfolioSoftware.co.uk.

What Support is provided for NLA Rent Manager?

NLA Rent Manager comes with the following support:

  • Access to on-line help file
  • Access to on-line video demos/tutorials
  • Inbuilt support desk ticketing system
  • Telephone support (for NLA Members only)

Can I access the data using my tablet computer and smartphone?

Yes. You can access NLA Rent Manager from many mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, Android etc.
