Event Overview:

This event has been organised by NLA and Shropshire Council.

Welcome and Introduction

Carmel Hazan, Chairman - NLA Shropshire, National Landlords Association

Landlord News

Julie Woolfenden, NLA Representative for Shropshire, National Landlords Association

Julie will update the landlords on current legislation and issues relevant to private sector landlords.

Damp, Mould, Condensation

Greg Dimond, Business Development Manager, Envionvent

Damp, mould, condensation: these can be the bane of a landlord's life.  Greg will talk about the solutions that Environvent can offer. Their products provide a guaranteed cure for condensation & mould.  Note: this is not a “sales” talk – it is educational and informative.

Universal Credit Update

Lucy Simpson, Partnership Liaison Officer, Shropshire County Council

Lucy will be updating on how the Universal Credit roll out in Shropshire is progressing. She will also have some (for a change) good news for landlords whose tenants are on or going onto Universal Credit

The General Protection Data Regulations (GDPR)

Julie Woolfenden, NLA representative for Shropshire, National Landlords Association (NLA)

Prior to May 2018 Data Protection in the UK is covered by the Data Protection Act (DPA). From May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR) will supersede the DPA. Julie will be updating the landlords on how this will affect them

There is plenty of free parking available and all landlords, not just NLA members, are very welcome to attend.

The Council Chamber is on the 1st Floor of the Shire Hall. Please ask at reception if unsure where to go.

BOOKING

It is essential to book online in advance so that, should the event details change, we will know who to contact. Please note that where we jointly organise a meeting with another organisation, the list of delegates’ surnames will be shared with that organisation.

NLA Meetings are free to attend for NLA members, associates and all local landlords.

FURTHER QUERIES

If you have any further queries please contact the NLA Representative for this area julie.woolfenden@landlords.org.uk
