Legislative Update

Lesley Wilkinson, Local Representative, NLA

Lesley will be making a short presentation covering the latest legislative changes impacting the private rented sector.


Energy (in)efficiency in the private rented sector

James Pinder, Partner, 3edges and Associate at Sheffield Hallam University

James will highlight the findings of a research project, undertaken by Sheffield Hallam University, which aimed to understand what tenants expect and endure in relation to energy inefficiency. The project also tried to identify the likelihood that tenants would use the Energy Act to request energy efficiency improvements from their landlords.


RMBC Support for Landlords effected by Energy Efficiency Measures

Paul Benson, Private Sector Housing Officer, RMBC

Paul will be expanding on points in the previous presentation relating to the minimum energy efficiency standard and in particular what Rotherham Council intend to do to support their landlords.
