Legistalive Update

Lesley will provide the landlords with a legislative update.

 

Electrical Safety in the Private Rented Sector

Ian Halton, Business Relationship Director, NAPIT

Ian will be highlighting the need for landlords to have an EICR completed on any rental property, backed up by Home Safety Guidance documents, which encourages landlords to carry out their own visual inspections; not just on electrical items, it also covers, Gas, Solid Fuel, Legionella, Carbon Monoxide, Smoke Alarms and Fire Escapes.

 

Universal Credit Overview

Dave Waller, Employer & Partnership Manager, DWP

Universal Credit full Service is due to go live in April 2018 so Dave will provide landlords with an overview of how this will effect landlords and tenants.

 

East Riding & Yorkshire Council

Sarah Horner, PRS Liaison Officer, ERYC

Sarah Horner will speak to landlords about "Warm Home Front" and its importance to tenants.
