Somerset Tenant Accreditation Scheme

Jonica Wilkenshaw, Scheme Manager, YMCA Somerset Coast on behalf of Sedgemoor Council

The recently improved Tenant Accreditation Scheme, funded by Sedgemoor, West Somerset and Taunton council, delivered by YMCA Somerset Coast, has been running for 5 years in this area, specifically to provide accredited tenants into the Registered Social Housing and Private Rented sectors. This interesting and useful presentation describes the module-based course that each tenant completes so that the landlord can have a degree of confidence in the knowledge, skillls, and responsibilities of the tenant. The accreditation is not awarded to everyone, only those who have the skills and knowledge to live and manage their tenancies to a satisfactory level.

Hinkley Point C Worker Accommodation

Peter Bunting, Accommodation Administrator, HOST Somerset Limited

HOST is a new venture of four Somerset companies that have joined forces in order to bid for the worker campus accommodation management contract for the EDF Energy Hinkley Point C power station. This valuable presentation informs landlords on how to understand and meet the accommodation needs of the HPC employees required by this major local infrastructure development.
